What does Orris Root Tincture smell like?
Dried orris rhizome macerated in ethanol and chill-filtered: a soft, dusty violet-rooty iris with earthy and faintly suede-sweet facets, far quieter than butter or resinoid but with the same slow, powdery fixative pull. An artisan staple poured in generously as the fixative bed of a natural composition, where it rounds floral and fruity accords; the powdery character takes over the whole formula if overdosed.
