What does Veltonal smell like?

Bedoukian describes a long lasting, clean and diffusive raspberry/pomegranate note with ionone and violet undertones. TGSC files the odour type as tobacco and reads it neat as dry, sweet tobacco, nutty and violet, medium strength, with substantivity of 276 hours at full strength. In a formula it is a fixed berry: it holds a raspberry or pomegranate accent for days where a fruity ester would be gone within the hour, and its ionone side lets it sit under violet, orris and dry tobacco accords. Bedoukian points it at chypres, where the berry rides the mossy base instead of flashing off the top.
