What does Pineapple Essence (Natural) smell like?
Perfumer's Apprentice describes Robertet's accord as the "sweet and slight tart essence of a freshly cut Pineapple". The sweetness is the ripe flesh and the tartness is the acid edge that stops it reading as candy. It is a compounded all-natural base, so it drops a finished pineapple into a formula rather than asking you to build one out of single esters, and the tart facet is the part a lone ester will not give you. Use it as the fruit statement in a tropical or cocktail top and let citrus or a green note carry the lift underneath it.
