Sultanene (Symrise)

CAS 15848-49-4  ·  Synthetic  ·  Top note  ·  Ripe tropical fruit
Fruity 67%Tropical 33%

What does Sultanene smell like?

Symrise gives the odour as fruity, pineapple, pear, plum and jackfruit, and calls it an outstanding high-impact material. The published odour threshold in air is 0.00003 ug/l, roughly a thousand times lower than the other fruity esters in the same Symrise range, which is why it is dosed in traces: it is a top-note booster that implements natural effects and deep tropical fruit effects, adds volume to the fruit character and richness to the floralcy, and underlines juiciness and fully ripe fruit characteristics. Symrise recommends traces up to 1 percent.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
