Nez reports Opalene as an IFF captive whose role in Caroline Dumur's Speed Smelling 2022 composition is to propel its citrus notes, inside a clean-laundry accord built with polygonum essence and pink pepper CO2 extract. The published character is citrus: a radiant, projecting top-note material used to carry and extend citrus rather than to read as a note by itself. IFF has published no chemical identity, CAS or technical data for it, so nothing beyond that citrus character is documented.
