What does Citronitrile smell like?

Symrise's own datasheet gives the odour as citrus, rosy, waxy, cinnamon and coriander, and elsewhere the house calls it citrus-like and fruity-floral with rosy and cinnamon nuances. It is the mixed (E)/(Z) 3-methyl-5-phenylpent-2-enenitrile at min. 94 percent, a clear colourless to pale yellow liquid. The nitrile group is what earns it a place: unlike a citrus oil or an aldehyde it does not go sour or fade, so Symrise recommends it as the main ingredient for building stable citrus accords and to prolong citrus top notes, and it blends well into floral rosy and balsamic oriental directions where the waxy cinnamon facet gives the top a little body instead of a thin lemon flash.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
