The 50% cut of Galaxolide in isopropyl myristate, sold as its own article beside the neat material. IFF's description carried by Perfumer's Apprentice: a clean, powerful and versatile iso-chroman musk having exceptional persistence and a superb fragrance quality approaching the tone of macrocyclic musks. Supplier odour tags are musk, floral, woody, clean; ScenTree reads the musk itself as musky with berry and milky facets and calls it one of the freshest and headiest musks. It gives bloom, lift and longevity and holds a blotter past two days. IPM is an odourless, non-discolouring, skin-friendly carrier, so this grade is dosed straight from the bottle at roughly twice the weight of neat Galaxolide.
