What does Flonol smell like?
A sweet floral base with the character of orange blossom, built on methyl anthranilate at roughly eight percent and blended with orange blossom, petitgrain and neroli. It was first used in Coty's L'Origan in 1905 and later in Houbigant's Coeur de Jeannette. The anthranilate gives it the slightly heady, grape-skin edge of real orange flower, so a modest dose turns a thin neroli accord into a full blossom without reaching for indole. Being a compounded base it already carries its own petitgrain-green counterweight, which is what separates it from dosing the bare molecule.
