Symrise gives Floral, Orange Blossom; The Good Scents Company calls it a highly diffusive and intense floral-fresh aromatic reminiscent of orange blossom. It reads as orange blossom with an anthranilate-like sweetness and a peely, fresh-green edge on top. In a formula it is the high-impact key to orange blossom and neroli reconstructions and a booster for floriental accords, and because it is a benzofuran ketone rather than an anthranilate it does not discolour a base the way methyl anthranilate does. Symrise describes it as very substantive and puts the use level at 0.01 to 2 percent.
