What does Celery Ketone smell like?

Givaudan files it in the herbal-agrestic family with notes given as herbal, spicy and celery. It is a modifier rather than a lead: the house calls for it in aldehydic chypres and fougeres, pairing it with basil and tarragon oils in the top and using it to complement jasmine complexes, and recommends it wherever lovage and celery notes are desired. In practice it supplies the savoury, slightly soupy green-spice bite that makes a herbal top read as a real plant rather than a clean terpene, and it carries far enough that a small overdose will dominate an accord.
