What does Birch Leaf Givco 166 smell like?
Givaudan's own specialties brochure explains that the characteristic fragrance of heated birch leaves in a sauna bath was studied by headspace analysis in its research department and reconstructed as this base. Suppliers describe it, in decreasing intensity, as birch-leaf, herbaceous, vegetal, fresh and green-spice: an airy, astringent verdancy carrying shades of tea and spice, particularly cardamom, coriander seed and betel leaf. It is powerful and diffusive and takes a wide use range, where around 2% adds a modern green top to masculine colognes and up to 3% gives a herbaceous vegetable effect in shampoo and beauty care. It is the green signature of Calvin Klein Escape for Men.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
540 materials carrying no CAS number the 248 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
