IFF publishes it as a diffusive spicy, woody ambery note with great rounding and smoothing properties, and suppliers reselling it describe an extremely rich musk that is stronger and spicier than Cashmeran itself. In a formula it behaves less like a note and more like a finishing agent: it rounds off edges between woods, ambers and musks, adds diffusion and a plush warm body to a drydown, and holds a structure together at very low dose. IFF lists it as a mixture rather than a single molecule, so it carries no CAS of its own; it is sold diluted (one supplier at thirty percent in DPG) because it is potent enough that neat handling is impractical.
