The crystallised, higher-purity form of Amberever, the cedarwood fragrance ingredient dsm-firmenich launched in early 2025 and described as delivering exceptional performance against the market trend for powerful woody notes, with a rich ambery undertone and impressive longevity. Neo is obtained by crystallisation to isolate the isomer responsible for the odour and the strength, so it reads cleaner and hits harder at equal weight than the standard grade; it was launched in November 2025 and is produced at La Plaine in Switzerland. It is a base-note engine: it gives volume and drydown length under a floral, a fougere or a woody amber, and it must be weighed against the standard grade rather than swapped one for one.
