What does Aldambre smell like?

Synarome gives it as woody, amber, dry and musky. The supplier lists it as the macrolactone 2-oxacyclododecan-1-one (C11H20O2, MW 184), a colourless to pale yellow liquid, so it behaves as a single macrocyclic base note rather than a compounded speciality. In a formula it is a dry ambery body: it warms and rounds woods without adding sweetness and lends a clean macrocyclic lift to amber and chypre bases.
