What does Amberever smell like?
dsm-firmenich present it in their own 2025 annual report as a groundbreaking cedarwood ingredient with a rich ambery undertone, exceptional performance and impressive longevity, launched in early 2025 and reported around ten times stronger than the comparators it displaces, so far less material is needed. Fragrantica lists it as a dsm-firmenich captive woody-ambery molecule that adds intensity, power and diffusion, and it sits in the base of Cerruti 1881 Vivo Elixir beside oud, labdanum and Virginia cedar, where it reads as a smoky ambery trail with stronger lasting intensity. In a formula treat it as a woody-amber power material and a fixative rather than as a cedar in its own right: it carries the drydown and lends diffusion, and a purer crystallised version, Amberever Neo, followed in November 2025.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
540 materials carrying no CAS number the 248 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
