What does Ambrostar smell like?

Symrise's datasheet gives the odour axes as amber, wood, warm amber and animalic, and calls it a very powerful and long-lasting base note that creates a unique warm and gentle woody-ambery profile. It is a clear, colorless to pale yellow acetal that smells like a dry, radiant super-amber with an animalic undertow, and the house note that it intensifies the typical characteristics of oud notes. In a formula it is a trace material: the successor to Ambrocenide and far stronger, a fraction of a percent pushes amber-woody diffusion and blotter life past almost anything else on the shelf, so it goes in last and sparingly or it flattens everything around it.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
