What does Troenan smell like?
Kao describes it as a privet blossom note: tulip flower, deep green, oily, filed under the descriptor triad Green - Plastic - Floral and placed in the house's GREEN family. It is a green floral rather than a leafy or a grassy green, the smell of a hedge in flower, with a thick oily body under it and the faintly synthetic edge Kao itself names as plastic. In a formula it gives a floral heart a deep, wet green underlay that cis-3-hexenol-type materials cannot supply because they evaporate away; as a 1,3-dioxane it holds through the heart instead.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
