Spicatanate™ (Symrise)

Working dilution
What does Spicatanate smell like?
Neat it is reminiscent not only of spearmint (Mentha spicata L.), but also of garlic and onion, so the bottle reads far more alliaceous than the name suggests. Dosed into a composition that raw sulfurous edge resolves into the spiciness of wasabi and lends depth, freshness and fruitiness to the top. Symrise works it at around 0.001% of the perfume oil, where it still makes a statement, so it is an accent used in traces rather than a body material. It is a patented captive made from D-limonene upcycled from orange-juice peel waste.
