What does RUM SFE smell like?

Listed by dsm-firmenich in the Gourmand family. The house describes it as capturing the soul of Caribbean rum, authentic, richly fruity and with low alcohol, and says the supercritical CO2 extraction delivers a highly concentrated top note. In their trial compositions it softens a rum accord and sheds its candy-like quality, introduces what the house calls a delicate pink champagne bubble effect that adds brightness, and leaves the whole less powdery and sticky. It elevates the fruity notes with a sense of lift and vibrancy while strengthening the woody base into a deeper, more grounded structure, for a more cohesive result. Made at the Naturals Centre in Grasse from rum sourced in Jamaica and Martinique; the house works it at fractions of a percent and supplies it dilute for trials.
