What does Hop Absolute 50 TEC smell like?

Solvent-extracted from the flower of Humulus lupulus and sold at 50% in triethyl citrate. Bulkaroma tags the material bitter, green, herbal and spicy; a working perfumer's account of the Payan Bertrand grade puts it more plainly as a beer intensified, with a herbal character, fruity and slightly butyric, meaning cheesy albeit subtly. That butyric edge is what makes it interesting and what makes it dangerous: owing to its unique profile and its potency it is used, if at all, in traces, worked into fruity, herbal, woody and spicy accords for a bitter green realism nothing else gives. Being a 50% cut in TEC, it is weighed at double to land the same absolute in the formula.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 540 materials carrying no CAS number the 248 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
