Robertet describes it as a concentration of the most rosey, fresh, spicy and marine notes of elemi. It is a fractionation and reblend of selected elemi essential oil fractions, from the frankincense family, keeping the crisp incense character with its citrus and peppery facets and leaving behind the harsher petrol-like side that whole elemi oil shows. The material is stabilised with natural tocopherols. In a formula it is elemi with the flaw removed: use it to give an incense or amber accord a lit, peppery brightness at the heart, or to lift a resin base without the solvent edge that makes whole elemi hard to place in a clean composition.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
