What does Bois d'Encens, Natural smell like?

A co-distillation of olibanum resinoid with a Virginian cedarwood oil, where the cedarwood generates molecular reactions that modify the composition of the final product, so it is not a blend of the two oils but a new material. The supplier describes fresh and powerful fruity-olibanum top notes over a very warm, balsamic, woody-animalic dry-down. That two-part shape is what it does in a formula: the incense lifts and cuts on application, then the co-distillate settles into a warm resinous wood that anchors the base and gives musks and woody accords something to sit on. It carries at high dosage without turning sharp, unusual for a frankincense material.
