What does l-Dihydro Citronellol smell like?

Takasago describes it as floral, rosy, waxy and citrus, giving a clear, fresh and natural rosy note. It is the enantiopure (S) saturated alcohol sold as a Chiraroma grade, so it has none of the double bond that makes citronellol turn; that is exactly what it is for. In a formula it is the quiet, stable rose body used in rose, white floral and citrus work, adding a soft waxy petal weight and extending the reach and life of the florals around it. The house reports good substantivity on skin and hair with tenacity beyond twenty-four hours on the blotter, and it holds across the pH range, which is why it survives functional bases that eat prettier rose alcohols.
