What does Datilat smell like?
Symrise gives the odour as fruity, dried fruit and brandy: a raisiny, boozy dried-fruit note rather than a fresh one. In a formula it underlines damascone-like aspects, provides brandy-like connotations and adds a natural fruity twist to floral notes, which makes it a cheap way to read damascone-adjacent without spending a rose ketone. It is the quietest material in this Symrise fruity set, with a published odour threshold in air of 0.7943 ug/l, so it works as body and not as a booster. Symrise recommends 0.1 to 5 percent.
