What does Choclatone Natural 1200 smell like?
Advanced Biotech's natural chocolate speciality, a yellow to brown liquid with a chocolate odour, sold as a natural flavouring and fragrance preparation and used in bath and body products, candles, air fresheners and perfumes as well as in food. The Choclatone range is built on 5-methyl-2-phenyl-2-hexenal, cocoa hexenal, carried in mid-chain triglycerides, so it smells as the molecule does but softened by the odourless carrier: aldehydic, bitter cocoa and nut skin over green, sweet chocolate with fruity and slightly butyric edges. Because it arrives pre-diluted it is the more forgiving way to place a real cocoa note into a gourmand, giving the roasted bitterness without the aldehydic bite of the neat material, and it sits comfortably beside vanilla and other sweet brown notes.
