What does Chocotella Super #1 Natural smell like?
Advanced Biotech's specification describes the odour as characteristic of rich, deep chocolate nutty notes, on a brown liquid declared a natural flavouring preparation in the EU. It is an aqueous-alcoholic preparation at 45 to 48 percent alcohol by volume, and the spec is explicit that it is soluble in water and insoluble in most organic solvents, which is the opposite of how most gourmand bases behave and the single most important thing to know before dosing it. In a formula it is the chocolate-hazelnut accord ready-made, cocoa depth with the roasted nut skin already built in, and it does the work that would otherwise take pyrazines plus a cocoa absolute plus a nut note. The low flash point near 24 C and the water-side solubility mean it suits alcoholic bases and functional work far better than an oil or a solid perfume.
