What does Schiff indol hydroxy 50 RH smell like?

Robertet publishes the olfactive description as "Floral, white flower, sweet" and describes the material itself as the reaction product of a hydroxycitronellal/indole Schiff base with methyl anthranilate. It is supplied at 50 percent, so the bottle standing on the bench is already a dilution and the weighed amount is not the weighed amount of active. What it gives is the indolic depth and honeyed animal warmth of a real white flower, jasmine, tuberose or orange blossom, without the sharp naphthalene mothball attack that free indole brings and without indole's habit of going brown and dirty in the drydown. Being a Schiff base it is heavy and tenacious, so it anchors a white-floral accord down in the base instead of blooming in the heart, and it is the material to reach for when a jasmine reads thin and clean but will not tolerate raw indole.
