Eternis describes its cis article as sweet, almost creamy and woody with a stronger floral undertone than regular PTBCHA, and that comparison is the whole reason this grade exists. The cis isomer is the softer, more floral-powdery half of the material, with an orris-like dryness and a faint fruit-skin nuance, while the trans isomer carries the flat cedar-woody depth; enriching the cis shifts the whole character toward fine-fragrance florals. In a formula it is a blender: it sits under ionones, cedarwood and rose to give a clean woody floor without smoke or resin, and it is famously stable in alkaline media, so it is a standard soap and detergent workhorse as well. Dose it low as a rounding agent or push it up where you want the woody-floral to lead.
