What does Miel Blanc smell like?

The classical de Laire white honey base, whose archive Symrise now owns. Suppliers describe it as pure honey sweetness without floral complexity: a clean honeyed depth with none of the heavy animalic or barnyard facets that usually come with a honey note, and it stays clear rather than discolouring a formula. Blotter life is quoted at around ten days. In a formula it is the honey you reach for when you want sweetness and warmth without the dirty side, and it historically fed the great Mousse de Saxe base as well as being used directly as a honey note.
