Levocitrile (Takasago)

What does Levocitrile smell like?

Takasago describes it as much cleaner and closer to lemon than the commonly known racemic mixture, sitting across citrus, green, fruity and floral with the characteristic nitrile undernote beneath. That cleanliness is the point of the chiral grade. It gives a bright lemon top that survives where citrus aldehydes and esters die, with outstanding stability across the whole pH range including inorganic acid cleaners and bleach. In fine fragrance it is a clean citrus lift dosed under five percent; in functional bases it is the reason a lemon top note is still there at the end of the wash. About six hours on the blotter.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
