What does l-Citronellyl Acetate smell like?
Fresh, rosy and fruity with a bergamot-like brightness and a sweet finish; The Good Scents Company lists it as a floral odour type of medium strength, described as fresh fruity rose bergamot sweet. This is the enantiopure (S) form sold as a Takasago Chiraroma grade, and the point of the chiral article is that it reads cleaner and closer to the natural than the racemate. In a formula it is the fresh, transparent face of rose: it lifts geranium and muguet accords, takes the waxy heaviness off citronellol, and bridges a citrus top into a floral heart without a seam. TGSC gives about eight hours on the blotter and it tolerates generous use, so it works as a floral diluent as much as a note.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
