What does Greenal smell like?

The Good Scents Company gives the odour type as green and the description as fresh green sweet ozone melon, evaluated at 1% in dipropylene glycol, with medium odour strength and 20 hours substantivity at full strength. It is a branched unsaturated aldehyde, related to the trimethylhexanal family but more delicate, less metallic and more floral-green than those. In a formula it supplies a clean cut-stem greenness with a watery melon lift, and because it is an aldehyde a very little goes a long way at the top. It is a workhorse of functional and fresh perfumery, where it builds accords with melon, citrus and nitrile fresh-fruit materials.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
