What does Geogaia smell like?
A Givaudan captive launched 21 April 2023 into the Gaia collection. The house describes it as petrichor, the smell that comes from the ground when rain falls after a dry period, and says it brings green, earthy and watery tonalities to a fragrance. It is 100% biodegradable. In consumer testing 81% detected an after the rain effect in compositions carrying it at significant levels, so it is weighed as a real accord rather than a trace signature. In a formula it is the wet-soil bridge between a green top and a woody or mossy base, and it sits alongside Phytogaia, built around the forest tree, and Thalassogaia, built around the marine environment.
