What does Farnesene smell like?
The sesquiterpene that turns up wherever a green thing is also faintly fruity: apple skin, ginger, basil, the pith of a grapefruit. On its own it is soft and diffuse, more texture than statement, greening a top without the sharpness a leaf alcohol brings and leaving a dry herbaceous trail behind it. It holds at percentage rather than trace, which few greens tolerate. It oxidises, so keep it cold.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
522 materials carrying no CAS number the 226 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
