What does Elintaal smell like?
Givaudan describes Elintaal as having a natural and fresh muguet note with herbaceous undertones, and classes it floral / green / muguet. It is the ethoxyethyl acetal of linalool, 3-(1-ethoxyethoxy)-3,7-dimethylocta-1,6-diene, and the house rates it stable from acid cleaner through powder detergent, which is why it keeps its lily-of-the-valley freshness in media that flatten more reactive muguet materials. In a formula it builds the fresh white-floral heart of a soap, shampoo or fabric base at a low single-digit level, and its herbaceous edge lets it sit under green top notes without turning soapy-sweet.
