What does Driftwood smell like?
Mane describes a sophisticated, salty and woody profile with luminous ambery nuances, inspired by sun-bleached wood and built around the Ambramone captive; the supplier reads the same material as a soft cedar quality with the faintest hint of suede and ambergris, and Mane's own trade copy calls it an ambery woody note with salty and marine facets reminiscent of white woods. It carries over 44 hours on a smelling strip. Used in overdose it is an elegant wood note in place of common bases such as Vertofix or Iso E Super; in small amounts it nuances a formula, and blending it with green or fruity notes pushes those facets forward. It contains nothing harsh, which is what lets it be dosed heavily as a foundational wood.
