Robertet's supplier listing describes it simply as woody, leather, ambery, floral and fruity. It is made by fractionating Cedarwood Atlas essential oil and blending back only the woody, leathery, floral and ambery fractions, so the sharp terpenic and sour edges that make raw Atlas cedarwood hard to place are absent. The Good Scents Company profiles Atlas cedarwood fractions in the same direction, as oriental, lactonic, balsamic, leathery, amber, floral and fruity at 3% in dipropylene glycol, with a slightly fruity liquorous drydown. In a formula it does the job of a creamy, sandalwood-leaning cedar base: it will hold a woody-amber or leather accord together for the whole drydown without the dryness and rasp of the whole oil, which means it can sit under florals where straight Atlas cedarwood would tear them.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
