What does Citrylal smell like?
Symrise gives it as Citrus, Lime, Fruity; Perfumer's Apprentice lists it as Citrus, Lime, Herbal. It is acid-isomerized citral, so it smells of a fresh, sparkling lime top with a soft floral shade underneath, cleaner and less lemon-candy than plain citral. In a formula it is a lime top-note booster and the working note for natural lemon and lime accords, and it also lifts coniferous and pine directions. Symrise's stated use level is a wide 0.1 to 20 percent.
What else is Citrylal called?
