What does Citrus Enhancer Natural smell like?

Advanced Biotech list it as a clear yellow liquid with lemon and orange like flavours, sold as a natural flavouring and citrus enhancer rather than as a single aroma chemical; supplier listings add that it is only partly soluble in water and soluble in most organic solvents. The house's own dual CAS shows what it actually is, acetaldehyde carried in orange oil, so what you smell is the pungent, ethereal, green-fruity flash of acetaldehyde sitting on sweet orange peel. In a formula it is a top-note booster rather than a citrus note in its own right: a trace at the head makes the fruit read as freshly cut instead of distilled, then the acetaldehyde flashes off within minutes and leaves the orange behind. Dose it in traces, because overdosed it turns sharp and solventy and takes the whole top with it.
