What does Ambrettex XNM 0512 smell like?

IFF's ambrette reconstitution base, listed by the supplier in the musk family with an odour of dry, ambrette, musky, sweet and light floral. It is a colorless to amber viscous liquid that reads as the powdery-sweet musk of ambrette seed, warm and faintly floral, without the animalic sharpness of the old nitro musks it was named to replace. In a formula it works as a soft musk foundation and fixative: it holds on the blotter for well over a week, rounds the edges off harsher musks, and lends a warm skin quality under white florals, fougeres and modern chypres.
