What does Sinfonide smell like?

IFF's captive musk, listed in captives round-ups as powdery, musky and skin-like. It reads as a clean, softly sweet musk with a lustrous rather than detergent quality, described elsewhere as velvety with ambergris undertones. In a formula it is a base-note binder: it adds softness, warmth and skin-close persistence under florals, citrus and woods, and holds a composition together instead of standing out as a note of its own.
