What does Ambre 84 DL smell like?

The de Laire amber rebuilt by Symrise and presented as the vanillin of the 21st century, a modern successor to Ambre 83 rather than a rename of it. Scentspiracy describe a warm, long-lasting character that bridges gourmand, woody and ambery notes, more complex and nuanced than the 1874 original that first paired natural labdanum with synthetic vanillin, and the launch coverage adds a modern gourmand touch of toffee and precious natural woods. In a formula it is a fixative amber fond that already carries its own sweetness and wood, so it wants less vanillin and less cedar built around it than the old base did, and it reads cleaner and less floral-animalic than Ambre 83 in the drydown.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 540 materials carrying no CAS number the 248 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
