What does Tangelal smell like?
Bedoukian describes it as aldehydic with peely, fresh notes of tangerine and orange. Their captive BRI 387 is the cis C12 aldehyde, so under the citrus there is the fatty, waxy character long-chain aldehydes always carry, and that is what separates it from a plain citrus oil. In a formula it puts the zest back into a top note: a trace over sweet orange or mandarin restores the bitten-peel effect that distillation strips out, and it gives a classic aldehydic opening a fresh citrus direction instead of a soapy one. The house works it around the one percent mark in the concentrate, which tells you it is potent and easy to overdose into candle wax.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
