What does Rosessence smell like?

Perfumer's Apprentice, who sell it as Rosessence (Firmenich), give the odour as rose, Bulgarian, and describe the material as a synthetic and very complex reconstitution of Bulgarian rose oil, probably the closest specialty to natural Bulgarian rose essential oil. What it does in a formula follows from that: it is a drop-in rose heart, built to stand where rose otto would stand, so the rose can be carried at a workable cost and at a consistency a natural distillation cannot hold from crop to crop. Note that the name collides with Robertet's Rosessence 80, which is a different base from a different house; this is the Firmenich rose otto reconstitution, not the Robertet peppered rose-oil alternative.

Every regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the 540 materials carrying no CAS number the 248 without a constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than "nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row: no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point. The longer answer, or the whole catalog counted.
