What does Oud Samrat smell like?

With its unusual animalic essence and prominent woody and ambery notes, Oud Samrat carries the distinctive oud quality wanted in fine perfumery, and is very strong and long lasting in the typical woody animalic facet of oud. It is the third of Firmenich's three Oud Assafi specialties alongside Anokha and Maleki, and leans warm and ambery where Maleki stays dry. Supplied at 10 percent in DPG, it is used as the oud heart of an oriental or woody base at low dose, where its amber side lets it sit against labdanum and benzoin without fighting them.
