Perfumer's Apprentice list it in the floral family with the odour given as floral, soft, sweet, spicy, supplied as a colourless clear liquid carrying a mixture CAS. It is an IFF Oliffac speciality, the house's reconstitution line, usable from trace levels up to twenty percent of a compound, with a blotter tenacity given as 200 hours or more. In a formula it is a stable stand-in for ylang oil that keeps the soft, sweet, clove-spiced creaminess of the flower without the colour, viscosity and batch variation of the natural, and it holds through the heart far longer than the oil does.
