What does Salicynile smell like?
The house sheet gives it as the smell of a delicate bouquet of white flowers with fruity notes reminiscent of banana and pear, with nuances of solar flowers giving a sunny and radiant effect, and files it under FLORAL, WHITE FLOWER. Its job in a formula is spelled out plainly: it is used as a salicylate top note in place of hexyl or amyl salicylate, or as a versatile floral building block, and the sheet stresses that it is much more stable than the salicylates it stands in for, especially in home care, blending particularly well with all kinds of floral or fougere accords.
