What is MYSOL 381 used for?

Not an odorant. Moellhausen sells it as a functional additive that makes the impossible possible, turning physically incompatible ingredients into the components of a single, stable and homogeneous liquid. In the house's words, MYSOL 381 is the key to solubilizing fragrance oils, lipophilic vitamins and other apolar substances in highly polar solvents such as water and ethyl alcohol. In a formula it contributes no scent of its own; it is used to carry a perfume oil into a water or ethanol base and hold it clear. The house describes it only as easy to use and publishes no dosage guidance.
