What does Montaverdi smell like?
The Good Scents Company lists it as green type at medium strength: fresh flower shop, green, natural green, tropical fruit, with fruity apple and pear facets. It is the cyclopropanecarboxylate ester of cis-3-hexenol, so the cut-grass signature of hexenol arrives softened by the ester and carrying ripe apple, pear and banana over it. Neat it is sharp and almost aldehydic and shows very little of itself; it opens out only on dilution and in blend. Perfumers use it in the top and upper heart to give a natural, growing greenness with fruit underneath, and it is one of the standard ways to stop a green accord from smelling only of cut leaf.

Every
regulatory join - IFRA, GHS, allergens - is by CAS number, and a material can
supply one through its constituents as well as its own row, so of the
558 materials carrying no CAS number the 257 without a
constituent table are the ones that return "nothing known" rather than
"nothing applies". The blotter hours are sourced rather than measured by us, and the app
labels every one of them an estimate. There is no physical chemistry on a row:
no molecular weight, no vapour pressure, no boiling point.
