What does Floramat smell like?
Kao describes it as a spicy-woody note with a floral tendency and a damascone character, and files it under the descriptor triad Spicy - Woody - Floral. The damascone reading is what makes it useful: it carries the dry, slightly stewed rose-and-fruit warmth of a rose ketone in a carbonate that sits lower and quieter in the blend. In a formula it works as a bridging modifier rather than a headline, warming woody bases and giving a floral heart a spicy, dried-rose edge; it is a carbonate, not an acetate, so it behaves differently from the tert-butylcyclohexyl acetates a perfumer may reach for by name association.
What else is Floramat called?
